Using Search

  1. Whether you’re buying, selling, or offering a service – being able to talk to each other is the heart of any deal. Here's how to get started.

    Sending Messages to an Ad

Contact the seller of an item by clicking the Email button found under the Contact Details section of an ad.

Type your message into the box. Remember, detailed messages mean less back and forth and more time to enjoy your day.

    Click Send.

    Receiving Messages and Sending Replies

When someone replies, you'll get their message in two places. The first copy will go into the Messages section of your account. The second copy will be sent to the email address linked to your account.

    Replying by Email

To respond directly from your email, hit the reply button as you would with any other email. Don’t worry, your email will be masked.

    Replying in the Messages Section

Log into your account, then click on the user menu  at the top of the page.

    Select Messages.

Click on the conversation you’d like to reply to.

Type your message into the box that says 'Send message to…'

    Click Send Message.

    Deleting Conversations

Log into your account and click on the user menu  at the top of the page.

    Select Messages.

Click on the conversation you’d like to remove.

    Select Delete Conversation.

Tip: After deleting a conversation, it won’t be visible in the Messages section. However, if you still have the email copy, you can reply there. After a new email is sent, it will reappear in Messages.

    Can't See Your Messages?

If you have a reply in Messages but aren’t seeing the email version, you may need to add noreply@runboats.com.au and the domain @runboats.com.au to your email safe list. This will prevent messages from getting caught by your email’s filters. Remember to check your junk and/or spam folders as well.
