The deck or decks attached as an integral part of the hull structure to the hull sides and transom, located at or slightly below the sheer plank and enclosing the hull. In the average cabin cruiser or sail boat, this would be the bow, side and stern decks. Low trunk cabin roofs should be considered weather decks on boats designed or used for off-shore service.
