The term ‘wet exhaust’ may refer to either an entire exhaust system or any portion of a system that is cooled by water and includes both a system cooled by injecting water directly into that part of the system through which the exhaust gases flow and a system cooled by a water-jacketed section or sections which serve to isolate the cooling water from the exhaust-gas passage.
